How to Rake Leaves and What to do With Then ***

How to rake leaves and what to do with them after they are raked is often a task all of its on.  I’m going to tell you right of the bat the best way is to purchase a painters cloth.  Not one of those plastic ones, get a durable canvas one of a good size.  You will thank me each time you need and use it for this advice.

The next most important piece of advice is to put your leaves in your garden or flowerbeds and let them decompose there instead of bagging them for garbage pickup.  They will slowly settle and they will also keep the weeds under control.  They will improve your garden soil.

People with large lawns and many trees may rake only once a year.  Some trees do not drop their leaves until spring while others drop leaves continuously.  Those that drop them continuously are not nearly as much of a problem as those that are dropped all at one time.  Then again the all at one-time droppers actually are helping you, they are just so many.

When they finish dropping all their leaves, then you are ready for you’re once a year raking.  Purchase two or three large plastic leaf rakes with good handles.  Look around your community for “shelter people”.  They will rake for less money and you can engage many of them to rake at the same time.  This will speed up the job and they will like the comradeship of the job with their friends.  Single out one of them to deal with primarily and settle on the price or wages of each.

Have them rake leaves into many separate piles and use the painters cloth to collect and transport them to your garden or flower beds.  This is much better that doing it yourself or having them bag the leaves.
