Differing Sexual Expressions ***

I began looking for ideas for my blog and searched E-Zine articles for ideas. I stumbled upon an article "Christian Blended Family Problems". While this is a very interesting subject and one that I will possibly write about at a later date, it is not the subject of this article.
After reading the article I noted that the authors Mike and Wanda Collins have a Website, Christian Marriage Today. Upon visiting the Website, I thought it had valuable family information and resources that married couples and those contemplating marriage would benefit from.
Today’s families are in deed a mixture of white, black, Hispanic and other (to include all) nationalities. Each of these
blends brings different ideas and challenges into the marriage.
Additionally many couples ignore marriage and cohabit exploring the full marriage benefits.
One of the greatest challenges for couples after the "honeymoon" period may be in the area of sexual performance. If partners have differing ideas about sex and fail to respect one another there will be a price to pay.
While one partner may remain silent the other may desire a different sexual experience. After reading briefly the Collins Biblical references I conclude that couples should be less self-conscious about their bodies and more willing to explore the Holy Scriptures. The biblical book, the Song of Solomon will surely cause many to hide their face and others to clap their hands.
This is to neither condone nor condemn differing expressions of sexual activity. It is to share some biblical light on the way couples may express their love for one another in a fashion that has a scriptural context.
