Today’s Outdoor Fishing blog gives you a few clues about fishing licenses.  Fishing is indeed a great activity that can be enjoyed by all ages and as demonstrated by the many fishing tournaments, it can be enjoyed in all kinds of weather.  

Many have great knowledge about the rivers and lakes they fish.  Others just fish haphazardly for the pure pleasure of enjoying the sport and the outdoors.  Tournament fishermen fish for every reason and for the trophy or prize.

The licenses cost has increased in recent years and it may prohibit the novice fisherman by its price.  There are lakes that are located in more than one state.  To fish those lakes the fisherman must be careful about state lines or he needs a license for all states the lake fronts.

Many of the fees do go to improve the boat ramps and parks but the freshwater fees are not limited to freshwater improvements.  Saltwater fishing benefits from the licenses also.  This is much to the freshwater fisherman's undoing and dislike.

Kids and seniors may escape the licenses in some states.  Some states offer a lifetime license for a higher fee.  Veterans also benefit by exemption.
