Tips to Help You Finish Out the Year Successfully

It’s not long before the end of the year.  That’s the time of year that we celebrate Thanksgiving, Christmas and then New Years Day.  Before that time arrives and you are caught unprepared, you may want to review my list of tips to help you get there successfully.

I always get a bit aggravated when stores begin putting out Christmas when Thanksgiving hasn’t even come yet.  It just kind of gets my goat!  What about you?  This year the economic reports are pushing merchants to go ahead and push Christmas shopping.  That’s because the economic recovery needs the impetus that early shopping would give and how those numbers could impact politics.

  1. Make a holiday album of parties and activities you enjoy.  Doing it before the memories get cool will assure you of doing it and the results will be more enjoyable when you review in the future.
  2. Start you resolution list now.  Give it some real thought and keep thinking about it through the rest of this year and you will be ready to keep it when the New Year is here.
  3. Exercise programs will help you remain your current weight or perhaps loose some.  But start an exercise routine now to keep healthy.
  4. For a lovely spring showing in your garden, plant now.  Bulbs are great.  In some sections of the country they don’t need to be dug up after they bloom.  They can just stay, multiply and bloom year after year if you feed them.
  5. New Years plans can be made now if you consult with the location of your preference and make reservations.
  6. This is the time to start getting your tax materials together.  If you keep a tax file throughout the year this will be much easier.  Credit cards will also supply you with a list of categorized expenses.  Request it when it is available, just after the first of the year.
  7. When you limit or name something as off limits in your new years resolution list, solidify it by indulging yourself on Jan 1st, 2010 this one last time.
  8. The time of the year to mend a fence is when it need repair.  If you have a relationship that is broken, mend that now and in the future do your mending, as the fence is broken.
  9. RSVP’s are there for a reason.  When your holidays get too bogged down for you to enjoy attending a function, it’s time to reply, “Regret I can’t this time”.  Don’t feel bad; enjoy all other activities you have already replied, “Yes to”.
  10. Look around you city and see what activities are offered this time of year.  Choose to attend some choice ones.  Choose something you haven’t done in the past, something new.
O K, now you are set to enjoy the rest of this year and start the New Year fresh.  I hope my tips to help you finish out the year successfully prove to be beneficial.
