The View is a show the whole world watches at one time or another.  You just can't help yourself.  The Comical Life Website has a very good review about "The View".  Since so many of both men and women watch this daytime television show it is highly unlikely that you could find any American that doesn't know about it.

The term "Jumped the Shark" is not a term I am familiar with, but the explanation was clear.  While some viewers love the show, others hate it.  The show is now in it's twelfth year and doesn't show any indication that it will close any time soon.
