Daffodils are great for naturalizing. Other bulbs are wonderful spring flowers. Bulbs need a season of wintering in warmer parts of the U.S.. Southern gardeners must dig bulbs up and refrigerate them from early October until mid or late December. This is a chore, but well worth the display come spring.
Small or dwarf azaleas are good to keep a garden from looking empty when nothing is ready to bloom that captures everyone’s attention. Gardening has so many variables. The gardener must choose the location for its sun or shade characteristics. That determines what plants you can use. Keep the begonia in mind as you can plant this plant in either the sun or the shade and the plant thrives beautifully.
Mums make lovely fall displays of gold, orange and yellow. Pansies and Snapdragons
like cooler weather and bloom well in late fall through early spring in some parts of the U.S..
Shasta Daises and geraniums are great during summer heat. Periwinkles make any garden spot lively with their profusion of pink, fuchsia and white flowers among the lush green foliage.
Gardens and business landscaping has become so prevalent that it is hard to think of a time that plants are not attractively displayed. Choosing seasonal plants for every garden is much easier because the selection of available plants is so great and varied.
