Which waters to fish for the greatest excitement depends on the individual fisherman.  Some sportsmen need the experience of the bigger fish of saltwater, others can experience just as great a pleasure hunting and catching the freshwater fish.  It is a joy to experience both kinds of fishing.

My experience tells me that this Webmaster’s article about which waters to fish is interesting and generally correct.  It is very possible that many fishermen lack the ability to choose one type of water over the other.  Most fish the waters that are nearby and convenient.  

The ability to fish distant places allows sportsmen to choose both bodies of water and many fish both fresh and saltwater.  The equipment needed to fish different waters varies greatly and so does the expense.  

Remember how you anticipated Christmas as a child.  Fishing is as much anticipation as it is catching the fish.  The fishing trip is planned; the tackle and boat are readied.  The weather patterns are studied and lunch is packed.  The fisherman knows that if he wants to catch fish, he must present the fish with what they want when they want it.   The greatest excitement is landing a big one for that particular body of water.
