I am a collector of time saving tips and advice I call Did You Know. I like to share these with my readers occasionally. It is not my intention to repeat or duplicate even one suggestion, however I may do just that without realizing that I have done it. I hope you find several things in this list helpful.
If you peel a banana from the bottom and you won't have to pick the little "stringy things" off of it. Separate bananas when you get home from the store to slow their ripening.
Store your opened chunks of cheese in aluminum foil to keep it fresh longer and avoid mold!
Peppers with 3 bumps on the bottom are sweeter and for eating. Four bump peppers are firmer and are for cooking.
Add a teaspoon of water when frying ground beef will help pull the grease away from the meat while it cooks.
For rich scrambled eggs or omelets add a couple of spoonfuls of sour cream, cream cheese, or heavy cream and then beat them up.
Add garlic immediately to a recipe for a light taste of garlic and at the end for a stronger taste of garlic.
Snickers bars make a delicious dessert. Chop them with the food chopper. Peel, core and slice a few apples. Place them in a baking dish and sprinkle the chopped candy bars over the apples. Bake at 350 for 15 minutes!!! Serve alone or with vanilla ice cream. Yum
