Responsible Pet Ownership

Introducing a new Website, All Furry Pets.com is the purpose of this article.  Among some of the first articles that appear on this webmasters blog is “Responsible Pet Ownership”.  Having had a number of pets over my life span has given me insight into both the joys and the responsibilities of pet ownership.

Pets give love; companionship and fun.  They can help parents teach their children to be responsible.  Having a pet means that a family will be patient, attentive and lovingly provide training and exercise.  Pets may outlive your usefulness for them, but you cannot just discard them.

Owning a pet is not necessarily easy and can be expensive.  Pets require clean living and sleeping quarters.  They need regular food and water.  Small pets are easier to manage, but they still need care.  Indoor pets will need their nails clipped and the teeth of your pet needs cleaning to protect them from infection and from bad breath.

Dogs and cats especially need to be spayed or neutered.  A pet that wanders may need an identification chip.  If you do not have the time to give to your pet, be sure to choose a low maintenance pet.  Pets need care all the time, not just when it is convenient for you to look after them.  When they get old, you should return the love they have showered you with for a number of years.
