Keepng the House Clean

When cleaning, do the job as fast as you can and stay focused in order to build up speed as you clean.  When you pause, it takes more time to continue with cleaning.  If there is so much work to be done in a room, start from one point in the room, work clockwise and start with big objects.  Cleaning the bathroom and kitchen first makes the house look clean faster.

In the kitchen, wipe down the sink after every dish wash or loading the dishwasher.  Clean stove and counter tops and sweep the floor. For the bathroom, clean the sink as often as you wash your hands. Use pre-moistened tissue to clean the edge of the bath and the rim of the toilet daily.  Clean the toilet bowl with a brush, and clean the mirror and faucet daily.  Spray all surfaces, such as the toilet rim and seat, the countertop, and sink, with a multi-purpose cleaner at the same time so that you do not waste time picking up the spray bottle each time. Spray the shower area and curtain after every bath.  Squeegee the shower door.  Clean the bathroom thoroughly with a Pine Sol/Bleach solution twice a week.

In your bedroom, make the bed first because it makes the room look cleaner.  You can also make the bed before or after your morning shower.  Hang and fold all clothes and put them away.  Straighten the night table surface. Similar tips apply to your living room.  Pick up crumbs and dust with a hand vacuum.   Lift objects with one hand and dust with the other.  Wipe tabletops and tidy up coffee tables and magazines.  Throw away unwanted newspapers and magazines, and put away CDs and videos.  Fluff the cushions, fold and, put away throws.

By doing some of these things a little each day, your house will stay clean, and you won't have to break your back when you could be enjoying your spotless home.
